So will you forgive me for not being around yesterday!

I went into the city to collect my watch that was in repair. It was Mum's gold watch and the bracelet had broken. Dad bought Mum 3 gold watches over their marriage, one for their 1st wedding anniversary, that was replaced at their silver wedding (but then lost in a burglary 15 years later) and then for her 70th the one that she wore until she was wearing when she was taken into the hospital for her last time. I wore it twice and it fell apart! So although it was an expense it was something I decided to do.

Anyway, while there I walked around the city and saw the decorations ... not great as it was still daylight, but it gives you some idea.

(The first was another sunrise ... but we didn't actually get really bad weather like it seems to promise)

Now another day of work, a short walk and I am here to catch up with my LJ, but will catch up with you later (I hope). And, as ever -

22. Is there anything about technology that scares you?
Just that if there is a major power failure then no one will be able to find medical notes, get money etc

23. What’s a word/phrase that’s commonly heard in your region, but not anywhere else?
People in this are say that they are going "up country" ... which could mean anywhere at all!
