Work & History
Tuesday, December 7th, 2021 03:05 pm... Yes, two for the price of one today.
It all started when one of the patients said where he used to live, and the physiologist I was working with didn't know where the place was - one of The Channel Islands ... and as they have different "rules", he and I chatted about their history. Our history continued and we ended up talking about the British Raj and India, as he comes from there. It was fascinating to bolster what little I knew of that part of English history. He wasn't suprised I knew so little, but was actually suprised I knew any at all - his wife, who grew up in England, knew nothing of her heritage, and I agreed that it wasn't something we learnt about at school much. (It was an arranged marriage, btw)
So, nice patients ( they all turned up), and educational, as well - win/win
Yes, I finished my decs ... not great photos, but thought you might like to see a bit of what I have done -
My great grandfather's clock has a Santa from when I was a kid, and one from when Mum was a kid
.JPG?width=590&height=370&fit=bounds)
So, now I have my cards to finish writing ... and shopping that needs to be done ... but, as ever ...
7. What is something you are skeptical about?
Politics - sadly I tend to think that whatever is promised won't be able to be fullfilled ... but, yes, I do vote
