Wow, I am even shocking myself at popping in, in under a week!

I thought I would share a couple of photos I have just posted on photo_scavenger, so thought I would share them here as well.

Home
I thought I would share this painting that Mum did.  Sadly in the last couple of years of her life she lost her sight - so hard for her, especially with such talent.
Anyway, she painted this of the 5 homes she (& dad) lived in ... and, in actual fact, so did I.  It is now hanging on the wall of my staires.


Jumper
Poor little Jiffy is an old boy now, and suffering with cancer somewhere, so is very, very thin now.  As the weather has turned cold, he wears one of his many jumpers most of the time now.  Here he was yesterday afternoon -


I am having a bit of an up and down week, but not as bad as a couple of weeks ago, so that's good news.

Whatever happened to your horse? I remember you posting about a horse you had.

I keep hoping he will just slip away in his sleep, but won't let him suffer.

Yes, Jaykub died as a 10 year old (he broke his leg), but the horse I used to blog about was DJ, my namesake. I gave up riding when he was 11, and he was sold to a "Riding For The Disabled" charity in Windsor. Thar would have been perfect for him, as it is flat, there would be few long, hard rides ... and lot of brushing (which he loved). I last heard about him about a year later and he was very settled. He would now be 21, but I am only presuming he is still alive, now (he should live to at least 30 - 35)

Poor Jiffy. We're dealing with something similar with our oldest cat, Quincey.

So hard to watch them like this, though, isn't it?

She is doing better. I think the medication is helping. There have been fewer accidents, and she has put on weight at least.

That is good news.

Poor Jiffy has gone off food to a greater degree (I have taken to buying him some ham for lunch ... but he only eats small amounts. But, combine that with diarrhoea, it's a bit of a losing situation, sadly
