VJ-Day-75-678x381_kindlephoto-1717685597 (1)

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary, nor the years condemn
At the going down of the sun
And in the morning
We will remember them

Remembering VJ Day ... 75 years ago WWII finished. We must take a moment to remember ... as the memorial at Kohima remids us (this is a picture that I took at the copy in the National Army Museum)

My Mum always remembered VJ Day as her boss's only son died in these last few weeks in Burma ... so I have always grown up remembering these months ... and those who suffered on the "railway of death" ... one man lost for every sleeper laid.

Take a moment - pause - remember

Thank you for this. My best friend's Dad was a POW in Burma.
