4 Days!!

Well I survived 4 days before "crashing" again ... so took the day off, although sadly my immediate manager has insisted I am tested for Covid, so this afternoon I get the test and hope that it's a speedy answer.  I know it's just my CFS not wanting me to set an earlier alarm.  But these are the days we are all living in, and working in a hospital means the alert needs to be at 200%

The weather is not doing so well, although that means I don't have to water the tubs around the garden.  As mine is patio I have loads of assorted ones (no design, just colours), so that saves me a job!!

One advantage that I have done in in the last few weeks of feeling better is re-reading the full series of Anne of Green Gables.  So lovely to re-read the full set straight through.  It was especially nice as I read the books that had been Mum's, and most were gifts from her parents so it was lovely to read the inscriptions, as well.

Well I had better get on and get the housework done ... where do the hours go?

Could you arrange to only work 3 or 4 days a week for the next month or so?

We've had plenty of rail for our plants this week, too :)

Ironically I offered to do the 5 mornings so that they didn't need to have an assortment of Bank nurses on my day off ... the team have been so, so good to me. However I shall see how it works (yes, I am negative, so back at work tomorrow)

How's Jiffy adjusting to you being gone part of the day?

The Anne books are so good - I love them all. My copy of Anne of Avonlea is actually from England (some visiting cousins gave it to me back in the 1970s) and the cover is a photo from a tv series of Anne of Avonlea that was done in England back then. I've seen bits of it on the Internet. Do you have a book called Anne of Windy Poplars or Anne of Windy Willows? There were 2 different titles for the same book. In the USA I believe it's always published as Anne of Windy Poplars.

Yes, my book is the Windy Willows one. I don't know why the name was changed as we have Poplar trees over here (and they are nothing like Willows)

Jiffy sleeps so much of the day and I think getting up early means he is happy to settle down and sleep all morning ... so glad for both of us it's only 4 hours I am out of the house
