Snowflake Challenge Day 11 & 12

Day 11 - Share a book/song/movie/tv show/fanwork/etc that changed your life.

The first TV show I learnt about Fandom was Blakes 7, which was shown 1978 - 1982 ... and never repeated. I really loved the storyline, and it got me beginning to think about alternate endings. When videos first came out, they had 4 compilation tapes, that I bought, and then saw the advert for the fan club. We had a magazine every 9 months, something I couldn't wait to get!

Move forward a few years and I actually wrote a letter that they published ... and in doing so someone who lived nearby contacted me ... and 20 years on, we are still friends.

The icon I am using is that of The Liberator ... their ship for 3 of the 4 years.

Day 12 - Create a fanwork.

So, having talked about Blakes 7, I thought I would make an icon of my dream pairing

I've heard Blake's 7 mentioned a lot, but I never really knew what it was about. I just read a bit on Wikipedia and it sounds interesting! (Sounds like Joss Whedon might have used it as inspiration for Firefly.)

It's one of those shows that has never been repeated, so you have to be my age, or thereabouts, to have watched it.

A couple of the directors also worked on Dr Who. I have yet to see much Firefly, but what I have seen makes me think that they are a similar storyline.

I watched Blake's 7 as a kid, but it's too long ago and I don't remember much of it.
