Day Off Work, Today

I normally work Tuesday afternoons, so it's good to take off a few hours yet have the whole day.

I have actually been quite productive .... this morning Jiffy and I went to Mum's cemetery. It was always a place that we have walked through as it is lovely, so this way it's a nice walk, as well as checking Mum's grave .... and used the camera on my phone to take some pictures, so you can see what I mean,
Still no stone, but I am keeping it tidy

Once back I dropped Jiffy off and went to see Dad. He was looking very chipper today, and as I had taken my chromebook in we looked through some photos from LJ.

Then lunch, and then i actually spent an hour painting my fence, and then another half hour painting a couple of garden chairs ... a lovely bright pink! So now I'm showered and LJing, as well as writing a couple of letters I owe.

So a good day - I hope your day is going as well.

It is a lovely cemetary, and I have gone there often (even before Mum died) and there always seems something new to look at.

That is a nice spot. I think it helps to have loved ones buried somewhere nice, even though we know that is nothing but their shell.

The cemetery reminds me of the one in the town where I grew up. I used to visit it all the time with my grandfather.

Your mum is in a lovely place. I am wondering though, the part with the weeds, is that an older part of the same cemetery?

My mother was cremated and is in a military cemetery in Jacksonville, FL. My father is a veteran, so he was able to place her there and then he will be buried with her when he dies.

Mum is in a lovely place, it's so peaceful. Yes the cemetary was opened during the reign of Queen Victoria ... so some of the areas are not visited, so to maintain the rest they tend to cut down on the regular maintenance there.

It is good to know that your Mum is resting in a place that is important to her and your Dad.
