Just Slightly Breezy Today!!!!!!!!!

Well, I have had to go and rescue my bin, and next doors fence (plus concrete footings) have come down.  I lived ina  windy place for 25 years, but have been quite aware of the weather this time ... I realized this as I was woken overnight by the wind.  Yes, my bedroom is in a loft conversion - but fortunately I awoke looking at the ceiling, not the sky!!

The radio was playing a lot of Beatles music this morning, due to Sir George Martin's death.  I was born in 1961, so I grew up listening to their music on the radio.  People often wonder why I am a hoarder ... but as you can see, it is good to have those childhood memories.

It's chucking it down and blowing a hoolie here in Warwickshire, so I'm feeling very glad I don't have to go to London today to show my husband's passport to my daughter's letting agents. Their inefficiency is a blessing on a day like this.

Sometimes it is great to be thankful for someone elses mistakes. Having lived on the west Cornwall coast I thought I was used to this, but didn't expect it in South Devon.

Yes, well loved is a better phrase than battered, which is what I would say! However it is good to see that the 4 Beatles are still attached.

Oh wow, that Yellow Submarine is amazing! I love their little Beatley heads poking out the front and back!

Those 4 Beatles actually can be tucked away in the sub, with switches on the other side to let them pop back out again.

I used to live in a place that was super-windy! We could hear it whipping through the valley below us, and I'm surprised that a tree never fell on the house because of the wind!

Oh wow. I had exactly that submarine toy, gifted to me by my grandparents as something they'd held onto!

It was similarly battered looking, though I think the periscopes had broken off by the time it came around to me.

Yes, I have seen them in collector's shops with missing periscopes or missing Beatles. I am lucky that even though I played with it, it is in pretty good condition.

I'm a huge Beatles fan. So sad to lose George Martin, but he was definitely up there in age, at least it isn't as painful as other losses this year. That is an AWESOME yellow submarine! :)

Yes, he was 90, which is a good age.

I so love my sub ... great it is in pretty good condition.
