Just to let you know that Mum came home yesterday ... and was very muddled.

Today she is a lot better, but very tired which is what I expected.

She has gone through a lot and the hospital have also changed her meds as it turned out that at least 2 of her regular pills should never have been prescribed for her, so long term that will help, but short term adds to her internal confusion.

Dad is also very tired, I think he held himself together all the time she was ill, and now has "relaxed"!!

Still trying to work out my future ... still trying to get caught up with LJ (but no time this eve) ... so still missing you all

*hugs* ... and thanks for the lovely comments.

I'm so glad that she's home; I hope the change of meds helps.

*waves* I've missed LJ these last days too so I'm glad to hear now your mother is home. *fingers crossed* that being home will help too (especially with the new meds).

I am glad to hear she is home - and not surprised that everyone was tired once she got there!

I truly hope that as the days go on she regains herself. Being in the hospital is discombobulating enough, and med changes as well. My mom just went through something similar and she is doing better now that her medications were changed but she's still cycling - talking about the same things over and over. Then again, that's kinda normal for her :)

Make sure she sleeps a lot, and see if you can get her on some Omega 6. It has the same composition as the brain fats and it passes the brain barriers so it does have a healing effect.

((hug))

Get some ground flax and sneak it into her food - that's what I do. :D
