I'm Here - Sort Of!

I had actually booked today off work as I haven't really started Christmas ... having spent the last 3 days mostly in bed I am wobbly ... and not organised ... but am going to try to get on.

I hope to catch up with comments etc later today (or tomorrow ... depending on how quickly I flag!)

I went to the hospital on Sunday as I just couldn't breathe but they only confirmed what I presumed ... viral chest infection that has 101% totally screwed my asthma ... so nothing I can do except use the inhalers ever 1 1/2 hours (!!) ... and rest!

In the midst of all this I had to take dad to hospital to have a mole removed from his face - and also missed the end of my latest startrek20in20 ... so I decided to post the 15 I did anyway!  The work was there I just didn't get an AC set done.

i am so sorry to hear that you are so sick. bless your heart (and your chest). i had severe asthma when we lived in florida (years ago) and i got pneumonia and had to be hospitalized. it was no fun. i hate asthma though mine cleared up dramatically when we moved out of florida. take it as easy as your ongoing schedule will allow. it takes more time than most people realize to regain your strength after something like this. (hugs)

Normally my asthmas is just something I know is there and causes me problems walking from hot to cold etc ... but this is a problem. Still, I saw my doc today and he is pleased with how I am managing the problem ... with viruses, it's more a case of time.

Oh, congrats on the prize you won for "best color" from slayerstillness (for your Buffy in EP icon.) It makes a nice pairing with you Buffy in Selfless icon - both images I rarely see used for icons or artwork, but they both embody so much of Buffy's inner turmoil that season and how much she has to stuff down inside herself just to keep functioning. Agh *flails madly* They just posted a very pretty set of awards banners.

Yes, I've just seen that - thanks for the heads up ... really amazing to be chosen, especially as someone who is colour-blind!! When I do these comps that are "open" I try to pick a more unusual episode ... give me more challenge, and more focus. Thank you - *hugs*

Sounds like you and your doctor are "working together" which is nice and rather rare to be honest.

I try to pick a more unusual episode ... give me more challenge, and more focus.

That's really a great idea and something that I wish more people did - including fic writing, because there is just so much to play with for any given character. And you know I love S7; I mean, yes, I see the flaws in it, got the memo; but I'm still quite fond of it. And Buffy that season is so elegant in her simplicity.

Sorry to hear you've been under the weather. There are some particularly nasty bugs running around here at the moment. There seems to be some virus or other running around all year round these days.

Love the icons. I really like 'Tears'. Quite emotive and striking.

Thanks - I have increased the fluids since you reminded me. I tend to drink quite a bit anyway - so have increased those levels.
