debris4spike: (James - I'm a fan)

... Well, I suppose none of you fall into that category.

But if you had any doubts as to why I follow his career, then you should watch Warehouse 13 (4:11).  The first time I saw James act it was season 7 Spike, and I still think he stepped off the TV screen and straight into my heart!

Watching him on Warehouse 13 (not a show I know at all), made me remember again what a great, and fun, actor he truly is.  I also loved the fact that he was able to tease one of the characters about his large forehead (Angel, where are you?), and laughed off vampires as the heroes of Gothic stories, and teenage girls dreams.  Add to that, he managed to find yet another brilliant exit ... brilliant writing, brilliant acting ... great fun.

And, if anyone doesn't know what to do with "that" painting, I can find a space on my wall, very easily!

I so wish that he could get his own show ... he so, so deserves it.

He really was delicious, wasn't he? I agree with you - we all need more James on our screens. He is sooo worthy.

He certainly was the enjoyable part of that episode.

Haven't seen the episode yet but I heard he did a great job.

Warehouse 13 is a really good show. I have the first three seasons on DVD. It's a show that the whole family could watch together. No sex, no bad language. Lots of comedy and action.

I think he could have made an excellent (if shorter than he should be) Harry Dresden. It was a shame he didn't get that part.

The height might have been an issue for those who had already internalized an image of tall, skinny Harry. I can see why it may have been a disconnect. But the guy they chose wasn't tall and skinny either!

He did seem to be having fun with the character. It was good to see that.

I'd looked forward to the TV series - not because I've ever heard James read the stories, or because I'm a great fan of the book series, but because I thought it would make great TV if done right. I guess it wasn't done right, because I lost interest pretty quickly. Don't even know how long it lasted, but I'm guessing only one season.

I have always thought James was fantastic at every role he plays and I wish he had had more opportunities to prove himself more, as a star of his own show or in movies, cos he really is utterly believable in everything I've seen him in.
