I lived in London till I was 25, and spent 4 years going to college there. Although I had heard of Camden Market I had never been until my recent trip to town ... and now I am amazed by the size of the place. I didn't go to the outside market as it was snowing (!), but went round the inside ... it had been stables and some of the area still uses the old stalls, but as you can see the rest is adorned by amazing sculprures of those beautiful animals.
Here is the website to see further details. Part of the market is also a large lock on the north of Regents Park (for those who want to know the geography!)
My cousin lived in Camden, so whenever I visited London Camden was my base. I have been to the lock quite a few times and it is lovely, have never been to the market though--what a beautiful setting for a market!
OMGoodness what a beautiful place with all that Victoriana! I love, love, love the horses wall thingy, it's reminiscent of The Devil's Advocate where the wall freeze was angels, lovely.
