Snowflake Challenge #3

In your own space, put some favorite characters into an AU, fuse some favorite canons together, talk about your favorite AU/fusion tropes, or tell us why AU/fusions aren’t your cup of tea. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
Ultimately I don't mind cross-over fics. However they need to have "a good reason". I don't like ones of people just "bumping into" each other, then having fun and going on their way. I suppose, as I like sci fi it's easy as there can be a real inventive reason that the people all get together ... but, I do need that reason.
I am also "boring" as basically any pairings I like I don't like seeing the individuals with other people, whether in their own show, or not.
I have read a couple of Voyager (Janeway/Chakotay) and Stargate SG1 (O'Neill/Carter) crossovers ... which both have good story lines, as well as leading both couples to progress as pairings. However, I would love to read some more! Those 2 pairings have a lot in common - sci fi travellers, as well as the difficulty of conflicting ranks within the military.
