100 Meme - Film # 38

When you get a series of films there is always going to be one that is your favourite, and for me Batman Forever is the best of the series of stories.

Val Kilmer is, as ever, lovely ... but with two baddies, including the amazing, over-the-top Jim Carey, how can you lose?

And just had to post this one as well - for the truly gratuitous "bum-scene"!

Despite it being Val starring I really loved this one, The Riddler was PERFECT casting imho :D

That was on Encore yesterday morning. I find it to be one of the more enjoyable Batman films.

I have to say, I love Jim Carey as The Riddler!

Wasn't wild on Jones as Two-Face (liked the newer movies better), but Carey was the best Riddler. Loved Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman.

Have to say that Val Kilmer is my least favorite Batman. I loved Michael Keaton as Batman. I had only seen him do comedy before this so it was unusual casting and his take was well done. Christian Bale is very bland to me. I really don't like his take on Batman.

As a campy version of the Joker, Jim Carey owns it. Straight up dramatic Joker, no one was better than Heath Ledger. It was very difficult for me to watch Heath as the Joker since he died before the film opened, but he was amazing in that role.

I was not a fan of the Michael Keaton version ... but overall The Riddler was just so brilliantly over-the-top.

I didn't bother me about Heath Ledger as I wasn't really a fan of his - so I could watch the film for the sake of a Batman film.
