debris4spike: (London - Dr Who (+ James lyrics))

Having wandered round Greenwich, and stood on the GMT line, I headed back towards the river.  Over the centuries it was the way to travel and during the war my dad worked on the tugs thta helped bring cargo to England - yet there was something else I had never done - travelled on the Thames.  I have crossed it by ferry, but never travelled up it - so this day I caught the ferry from Greenwich, via Tower Hill to Westminster.

Looks like it was windy! Was it choppy in the water?

You can almost see the water rippling. Interesting to stand on the point where times begins. Your photos are amazing as are the buildings they captured.

I've stood on a set of rocks that marked the edge where three countries joined. It was the point between Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic met. And I once stood on the line between Nevada and Arizona on the Hoover Dam.

That's seems to me to be one of the very best ways to see London.
