My Dad e-mailed me this on Friday - so I have only just read it and thought I would pass it on!

Ancient Technology In Ireland

After having dug to a depth of 10 meters last year, Scottish scientists found traces of copper wire dating back 100 years and came to the conclusion that their ancestors already had a telephone network more than 100 years ago.
Not to be outdone by the Scots, in the weeks that followed, British scientists dug to a depth of 20 meters, and shortly after, headlines in the UK newspapers read: "British archaeologists have found traces of 200 year old copper wire and have concluded that their ancestors already had an advanced high-tech communications network a hundred years earlier than the Scots."
One week later, "The Kerrymen," a southwest Irish newsletter, reported the following: "After digging as deep as 30 meters in peat bog near Trelee, Paddy O'Droll, a self taught archeologist, reported that he found absolutely nothing. Paddy has therefore concluded that 300 years ago Ireland had already gone wireless."

debris4spike: (Topless Spike!)
Over the last couple of weeks I said I had been decorating my office - well, it was only part of where I work - the treatment room itself didn't get touched.

As an osteopath we all work in different styles of surgeries.  And although I have a great icon of a topless Spike - let me assure you that I never get patients that gorgeous!!

Mine is also my dining room and the style is very similar to the rest of the house - assorted pictures,  ornaments, etc.  Anyway - OI took a couple of pictures so you can see both my style of "muddle" that I live in ... actually it looks tidy (the only room in the house that is) ... but also you can see where I work.

The computer wasn't turned on - so you can't glimpse my marvellous wallpaper that [profile] beanbeansmade me!
