Remembering 9/11 ... for me I still remember with shock the person who told me to go and turn on the TV ... and the image I saw of the burning building, made worse a couple of minutes later by seeing the second plane hit.

May those who died RIP, and those who suffer and mourn find comfort today .... And one day, I pray, that man will learn to live with his fellow man.

Hee - hadn't even thought about the stash of coins and small bills in my truck. I guess I do have emergency money put away. lol

9/ll - that's about where I came in. I walked into the main office (at school) in time to see the second plan fly into the buildings. My daughter was in college only a mile or so away (as the crow flies across the water) and one son was working in/near the Pentagon. Nervous morning until they had both managed to check in with somebody and let me know they were okay...

As my brother-in-law said at the time, it was such a big event in such a major city/district, there was literally no one in this country or in many others not affected by it in some way. With my daughter being an eyewitness, one son sent home from work for safety's sake, one losing fraternity brothers who had gone to NYC to work in the financial district, one school principal in our district losing her son, and so on, it just touched everyone. Who didn't know someone who was there? Or who knew someone who had a friend or relative working there?

We had our building on lockdown and parents had to show ID to pick their kids up - which they did all day long, wanting to be in the safety of their homes when they explained to their children what had happened. How do you explain the inexplicable?

14. Is your bed made right now? My mom always hated that I didn't like to make my bed. Didn't make sense to me. You've slept in it all night. If you straighten the layers, but fold them back it can air out.

17. Comet or Soft Scrub? Guess this is too American. Comet is a powdered cleaner while Soft Scrub a thick liquid cleanser. They are used to clean sinks, tubs and counters.

I was at work on 9/11. One of our district managers came in and told us a plane hit one of the Twin Towers. We heard more as it went on that day. My brother worked at an Airport in KS. I called him and he was off that day. He made fun of me for worrying about him. Yeah, not a great relationship there.

Our country was really in a panic. We had the idea we were apart from such things. We lived in a bubble. I'm proud of the men and women who ran into those buildings to try to help. They were real heroes. The plane that was aiming for the Pentagon also had amazing people on it. They were very brave and unselfish.
