As I reported here on Friday I went to Cotehle house with Christine on Friday and had the added pleaseure of learning about the damage the years bring.  "We" are lucky that the house was abandoned in the 15th century when a new home was built in Plymouth (later bombed) ... this was we get to see the house, and the original hangings etc.  As the family upgraded, the older furnishings were stored at Cotehele, leaving us with a wonderful legacy today.

What gorgeous pictures. So lucky that it all survived for so many years. Reminds me of some off the castles I visited in Poland. Your new camera really does its job by providing you such lovely memories.

The first photo would make a lovely spot for a Spring wedding. I envy how green everything is in your part of the world. We are back to 100 degrees again. Our yard is so not green.

Looks like a lovely place to spend an afternoon. Beautiful photos.

Sigh. Can't wait til my trip next summer, but as much as I want to spend a month or more touring the UK, we will likely have to just settle for visiting my family in Scotland for a week. Everything costs money.
