100 Meme - Film #13

Yesterday evening we watched a short, but favourite film of ours ... one that joins my list of obscure films. It is The Happiest Days of Your Life starring Margaret Rutherford as headmistress of a small girls boarding school that is re-vacuated to a boys boarding school run by Alistair Sim.

The educational system of the 1940's is fun to watch ... as is the fun of trying to keep this fact from 3 parents of girls who turn up, on the same afternoon as an inspection of the boys school.

All I could find on You Tube was the actual film, split into 10 minute chunks ... so, here is the first part -

I remember that one! I miss seeing those old films on a Sunday afternoon. I used to curl up with a cuppa and a digestive biscuit or two!

I remember this one, such a fun film, and Margaret Rutherford and Alastair Sim together - just wonderful.
