Tim & Claire came over ... and with Mum & Dad (and Jiffy) we had a Jubilee tea, yesterday.  Starting, of course, with The National Anthem!

Before that it had been a nice afternoon and evening ... and watched part of the Jubilee River Pageant on TV ... great to see, just such a pity about the weather.

We watched some of it on the CBC and you could see the rain running off the camera lenses.

That's definitely a festive spread.

I am so jealous! Watched a bit of the celebrating on BBCAmerica and it was awe-inspiring. I recognise some of the foods you set out on a great looking table... what are some of the English dishes you have there?

You set a very festive table. It's wonderful that your parents are well and able to attend. So I noticed the pizza and several cheeses. What were the other dishes you chose for your tea? Did you cook or buy the other dishes? We don't have teas like this in America so we are interested to share the idea of it all. We have spreads like this for holidays and sports events. The food is very different for us.

I think most of the local street parties were cancelled due to the gods-awful weather!

These photos are great; we didn't do anything to celebrate but recorded some of it to watch, I think.

Luckily we have a marquee up on the village green for our village celebrations!

Teah looks very patriotic! Is that Coronation Chicken I spy?

I'm mostly a republican, but if we have to have a Queen, I'm really glad that it's Liz!!
