We Celebrated The Jubilee
Monday, June 4th, 2012 10:25 amTim & Claire came over ... and with Mum & Dad (and Jiffy) we had a Jubilee tea, yesterday. Starting, of course, with The National Anthem!
Before that it had been a nice afternoon and evening ... and watched part of the Jubilee River Pageant on TV ... great to see, just such a pity about the weather.

Date: 2012-06-04 07:10 pm (UTC)It was fun to have a family get together to celebrate 60 years.
We had Pizza and an assortment of English cheeses, with iceburg lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber ... served not with traditional ham, but with roast beef slices.
I dare say you know about Potato Salad and Coleslaw .... but I would imagine the real English treat is a Pork Pie .... which should, traditionally, be made in Melton Mowbray
All served with bread rolls, and salt & vinegar crisps (chips) ... and Salad cream as a dressing, and Branston Pickle if required.
Then coffee & walnut cake, chocolate eclaires and Bakewell Tarts
