2011 - Day 329

debris4spikeWhat a hectic 24 hours. I heard yesterday evening there was a 90% chance that the house move was on ... for today! Yes, after 5 m,onths the exchange and complete was being done at the same time the following morning.
This morning, it was off & on ... but my removal company was great, and even though I only heard at 11am today .... I was able to get the keys at 2pm ... and my furniture turned up at 3pm.
Wow, Mum, Dad & Jiffy came and I have done a\ load of kitchen sorting, had tea, and had Tim & Claire pop in! All in all a good day.
I'm now back at Mum & Dad's for the weekend, before going back to tackle more boxes before work on Monday!

Date: 2011-11-26 12:59 pm (UTC)Mum, Dad & Jiffy came for the day and so I have got quite a bit of the kitchen-diner unpacked ... the rest I shall do in stages.
Jiffy was a bit lost, but was very good with doors open and removal men in and out ... I don't think he would like to visit too often, as the garden is small ... great for me, but not for him!
As for Spike ... mmmmmmmmmmmmm, that would be telling!

The people she bought off were filthy, the house is lovely but so dirty (which meant she got it cheap), so I will be spending the weekend helping her clean, pull up old ratty (smelly) carpet so new can be laid on Tuesday and get everything ready so the big move can happen on Thursday.
