debris4spikeDay off today as I have to take Mum to an opticians appointment. This morning I went shopping ... birthday pressie shopping as 3 of the nephews have birthdays next week.
Saw a new shop being made ready - just loved the name of it -

Date: 2011-11-23 12:59 pm (UTC)Years ago, in America there was a weight loss product called Ayds(pronounced as "aids") which was an appetite-suppressant candy which enjoyed strong sales in the 1970s and early 1980s. It was available in chocolate, chocolate mint, butterscotch or caramel flavors, and later a peanut butter flavor was introduced. I think in Britain it was called Aydslim. Public awareness of the disease Aids led to the product being dropped due to the phonetic similarity of names.
