"When We Were Very Young" is a great old favourite of poems - with a few I even remember.

Date: 2011-11-21 08:16 pm (UTC)When Jaykub died I had so many people say what an amazing boy he was - and how much he truly loved me ... that meant a lot.
Other than that - I don't think there is anything specific ... many patients have made nice comments over the years ... but nothing has really stuck in my mind. Mum & Dad have always been supportive in general ... but again nothing stands out.
So, having waffled, I don't think I have ever had something specific said to me.

Date: 2011-11-21 08:11 pm (UTC)Toni is great - she knows me better than I know me. She accepts my insecurities, and supports my changes, even though it means geographically we are now miles apart.
I worked with her for 7 years, and she was my boss ... yet we had no problems in that relationship.
Mostly she has picked up on tiny bits of my life .... and made me do more than I have expected.
She was with Jaykub when he died - and lent me DJ for as long as I wanted ... and gave him free board during that time.
She, herslef can't believe what an amazing person she is - very loyal, and has overcome a violent marriage and is a great mum, and gran ... as well as a good daughter to both her parents (even though her mother is not the best of parents to her)
