2011 - Day 232

In a break in the pouring rain I took time out from cleaning to drive to Trago Mills (in Newton Abbot) to look at the price of furniture ... and shoes.  Didn't buy either, but did get some blank CDs and DVDs so I can put a couple of things on disc.  So that was positive 
 



Now, back to finish the housework (while something is downloading ...!!!)

Is that a mall? Very nice looking. The curvy chair in the photo looks like a very nice place to curl up with a furry friend and just relax.

It's one large shop basically ... but outside there are kids areas. Hopefully this will work

Must be a huge place. Might need a map to find your way around. I see lots of back to school stuff is on sale. This weekend in TX was tax free weekend. Clothes and school supplies were tax free. It's only .0825 off, but if you have several kids it adds up. We were very busy. I'm tired now. I needed to pick up a few things, but saw the lines and just came home instead.

We get a lot of sales around this time of year before the kids go back/change schools.

The tax is never reduced - it is just local stores that do the offers.

I have a house full of stuff, but my 3 piece suite was old when I got it ... and thus got older. So I decided not to move it. Looking at prices, though, I think I should have stuck with the old one!!!

Good luck shopping. Are there 'vintage' or second-hand stores? Sometimes, the older stuff is better made.

Yes, I shall looka t second hand, and some of the "discount" stores (just won't tell Tim & Claire that ... they do like their designer labels!)
