2011 - Day 179

Had Toni and her husband here most of the morning ... and the loft is now emptied with some stuff already gone to the tip.  As you can see there are stacks of boxes .... but more still to do!

Lots to sort through there! Emptying the loft is always the worst part of any move I think.

I know I'm a hoarder - but there was still more junk than I expected ... and everything was covered in sand where it constantly blows in under the slates!!

Still - it was good to do ... and felt a really positive day.

*g* ... as much as I think I'm winning, I then see another cupboard I haven't started on! Still today was pretty positive, so that's good.

It is the worst part of moving. And it should be a good chance to throw stuff out - but often you reach a point where you just think 'Oh, I'll do it when I unpack...' and then you just put the box of stuff you don't really need away still full...

Yep! Been there, done that!

LOL - When M&D left Bude there was a box in their loft still shut up from Essex (11 years previously)

I was quite lucky in that most of the stuff there I knew was rubbish that I hadn't dared part with ... so with a slight down-size I now have to. All in all a positive day.

Yes - it was good, and I really feel quite positive about how things are going now. Just waiting an actual date!

By loft, I'm guessing you are talking about what we call the attic? I'm afraid if we ever more anything in our attic will stay there. I couldn't even tell you what is in the attic. Robert put boxes up there without even telling me he was going to do it.

By the way, as I am leaving this comment, the from portion is all messed up on this. It wants me to select an option. It is giving me the options of Anonymouse, LJ as kudagirl, LJ as kudagirl with using my password, Facebook, Twitter, OpenID, Google, Mail.Ru, and Vkontakte. Odd mess. Wonder if LJ is acting up again?

Yes ... attic. I had to sign that it would be empty on the day I moved out ... so had to get it done!

Yes, LJ are doing that to me on about every other thing ... including as I type to you now!

When do you move?

I quite understand all the work involved in moving. If we ever relocate full time to Colorado, we will have to deal with close to 2000 books. They cannot all come with us.

Still don't have a date - the people buying from me are getting edgy (starting to worry about that!)

Yes, jigsaws, books, there are lots to pack - I want them all to come - but where to then put them is anyones guess!
