2011 - Day 161

As I drove home today ... torrential rain, then sun ... hard for the eyes to adapt!  Anyway, stopped just north-west of Dartmoor to show you the view -

Wow. Now that is just beautiful! I do miss the green. We don't have much of it here in the desert.

I was suprised how green it was still looking, as we have had a couple of very dry months ... it was great to stop for a couple of minutes.

That's lovely, the kid of view I had growing up! Watching the lightening over the fields during a storm was epic and scary.

Yesterday it was horrid driving through the rain - but lovely to see the sun breaking through ... andthe green view.

About 30 years ago I was on holiday on the banks of one of the small Italian lakes and every night we used to watch the lightening flash around the surrounding mountains - that was a stunning light-show.
