House Move

Just to let you know that I have made the decision, today ... while walking down to vote! ... to sell the house and buy one in Exeter.

I do love Bude, but only friendship to a couple of people would keep me here - so moving to near work, which I am loving, just seemed right.

I have thought and prayed a lot about it and it just seemed to all come together today.  I said a couple of years ago, when I started this adventure that God's timing would be perfect for me, so I feel really at peace, even though it's a huge step for me.

I know that you have all been there for me, so hope that you can cope with the next set of meandering posts!

I understand that moving is an intimidating step. That is certainly looming in our lives too. I have never looked at a map to see how far your new job is away from Bude or where your parents live. I always opt for minimizing commuting whenever possible.

At present door-to-door from Bude to work is just under 2 hours (each way) ... Mum & Dad's to work is about an hour ... here to Mum & Dad's is about 1 1/2 hours! It doesn't help as parking is expensive so I park at my brothers and have a 1/4 hours walk ... I enjoy it, but it does add time.

I said when I started this whole "adventure" that the time would work out ... and today it all fell together ... so that really makes me feel positive ... as well as scared!

Hope your plans beging to fall into place for you, as well.

If the job is secure and the move will save you time, it sounds like a good decision. Is it nearer to your parents too?
I will not only save you time, it will save you gas too.

I hope the market is good for houses that you won't loose money when you have to sell it now.

Yes, time, money ... and petrol! Good savings, and much nearer to Mum & Dad as well ... so all in all it was just waiting for things to fall into place, which they did today, before I took the plunge.

Will meet the Estate Agent next week and know the money involved!!!

I love when I make a decision after worrying over it and a peaceful calm comes over me. Then I know it's the right thing to do. It's just that first step into the leap that scares us so badly.

Living closer to work will make your day seem so much easier. Will you be closer to your parents now?

I had thought (and prayed) about it a lot ... then it just all came together ... and I felt really peaceful about it. It's been a long year, but with friend's supporting me I have managed to keep positive throughout.

Yes, it'll be neare Mum & Dad ... so good for that ... Mum has been getting used to me being around, so with the move, and pointing out that life is easier when I move is an on-going process!!!!!

My women's group at church has had many conversation about how to know we're on God's path. Someone once said that when you finally make a decision about a tough situation, if it feels right afterwards, then you've probably made the right choice.
