ANZAC Day

Just pause for a second a remember those who didn't return, those who continue to suffer ... and their families.

"They shall grow not old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning
We will remember them."

We will remember them.

Thanks to wikipedia I was able to find out what ANZAC Day commemorates. I found out that the last three Australian soldiers who fought at Gallipoli lived past 100 years of age and died in the early years of the 21st century.

It is amazing to think how long some of these soldiers lived - the sights they saw and the things they lived through.

If only we could learn by the past events.

I knew about ANZAC Day but didn't know it's today. (Not coming from a Commonwealth country!)
