Had to take my car in for it's service (which was free from the original purchase offer!) ... and it's first MOT ... as it's now 3 years old.



The blue car on the right of the picture is mine!

BTW - It failed!!  Sticking brakes - so have it re-booked in for work and another MOT ... and had to buy two front tyres as well!!

Is it still safe to drive? Brakes are kinda important as are tires. At least you had a bit of sun.

I had to get the tyres immediately - but apparantly they did some work on the brakes, and have ordered parts,a nd so I go back next week ... I did tell them I had some journeys to do - that's why the new tyres, but the barkes are still OK at present.

Yes, lovely sunshine ... a couple of showers, but quite acold wind to go with it all.

Bother! At least it failed on things that are repairable - and it actually did find things that might have been a danger to you if not sorted out.

It's an annual test that all cars 3 years and over have to have - the certificate has to be shown to buy road tax ... Some detalis here

At least, you didn't have an accident with bad brakes. That would have been much worse.

My poor car is ten years old. Just had close to 1K work done on it. It better give me another couple of years. I can't afford a new car right now.

I always wear brakes badly ... so wasn't a real suprise!!!

My lat car was 10 years old, when suddenly everything went wrong at the same time, so I scrapped it, rather than spend about 4K on getting it back on the road.

Yeagh worst thing about cars as they get older is that the upkeep becomes as expensive as buying a new car but thankfully spread out.

Cars become so much part of life, don't they? My last car was 10 years old, when suddenly everything went wrong at the same time, so I scrapped it, rather than spend about 4K on getting it back on the road.
