2011 - Day 16
Sunday, January 16th, 2011 08:12 pmOn a Sunday, Mum and I play duets ... sounds grand! However it is a combination of me getting a practice, and learning sight transposition, and Mu keeping her fingers around the piano. She has poor eye-sight now, and hates that she feels useless ... this way she knows she can still play, and thinks she is helping me!
We go through hymn books - just one verse of each, and Dad usually closes the door, but was kind enough to take the photo before hiding ... however, the keen-eyed will spot that we do have an "audience"

Date: 2011-01-16 09:12 pm (UTC)No, it's from the old injury - as I lost the actual end of the finger, I now have no ligaments, and can do most things but the pressure of clarinet (or sax) keys is at the wrong angle! So, I just always wear an elastic support when playing - and am thankful that the finger is even there!
