Yesterday I posted a Photo Meme and asked people to suggest some photos ... here are 3 of the answers.

kudagirl asked me for - "A photo of your special place.   One that makes you feel safe"  I am pretty relaxed everywhere - but in Mum and Dad's I love sitting on this seat, in my bedroom.  The seat was the one that Dad bought Mum when she was pregnant with me, as a nursing chair.  As you can see, it's been re-covered, and now sits in my room, with a cushion my friend that I was Maid of Honour for made for me.  And ... yes, theres Portius, wearing a James neckalce that I had from auntiero 





And, kazzy_cee  asked for my favourite handbag.  The one that is special is the one that Toni made (yes made) for me for my 39th Birthday ... we designed it between us ... horse + roses.

The other bag is my everyday one!


Everyday - a birthday pressie this year from mum and dad-









jaded_jamie  wanted to see the outside of my house.   Just don't look at how much it needs decorating ... especially the back of it!

I just love bright colours, so when I painted the back about 8 years abo it was yellow that I chose ... it needs doing again ... I hadn't realised how much till today - LOL

I love the story on your special place. To see that it's still gives you comfort during the years.

Toni is a very gifted person, that bag is beautiful and a great way to remember a very special person. So much effort in disigning and making something that you would like really thoughtful.

Your house looks well lived in and the decorating only means that you have more important things in life to spent your time on. Family and friends!

I'll be making my pictures tomorrow after I take my mom to the garage for her to have her car fixed. The car broke down while she was on her way home today and had to be towed. *hugs*

Yes, that bag is truly special - it is the one I use on a Sunday, so it's in use, but not just chucked around each day!

It was funny that as soon as I read Kuda's request I thought about that seat in the corner of my room.

MMmm - as I told Jamie ... I need to redecorate the back of the house, by the look of it!

Sorry about your Mum's car - so annoying, and we get so used to them, don't we?

I have teddy bears eveywhere - on another chair in the same room is the one I had when I was born.

Portius was a gift from Toni when I lost Jaykub.

I love the little chair with all it's scars and bumps. It show how cherished it is by you. The stuff animals create a sweet view into you.

I want that red bag. I love it. LOL. Wow, the leather tooled bag is amazing. Does Toni do tooled saddles? I've seen a lot of that sort of work here in Texas and across the border in Mexico. They are famous for that type of work. And it isn't cheap either.

I love your house. It looks so homey. Your plants look better than mine do. It's too hot here for much in the garden.

I do love all the "teddies" around - they are all gifts. Portius himself, was what I had from Toni the Christmas after Jaykub died.

Toni has looked at saddles ... does repaires etc ... but the time involved is amazing. Most people, sadly, buy a cheep one ... if she hadn't lost Squiff just before this time, I think she would have made one for her.

My house needs painting - and a lot of the added greenery is weeds ... not a great look!

Wow, that bag your friend made looks really really good! That's amazing. :) It's hard to believe your friend made it!

do you call houses flats too? or is that apartments?

I do use that bag - but only on Sundays to Church ... like you, daren't use it any other time!!!

As to properties - Houses have more than one story (level) ... 2 or 3 stories normally.

Bungelows are on one layer - a Dormer Bungelow is a Bungelow with a bedroom converted into the attic.

Flats are part of a larger building - can be just 2 flats in what was a house - or a block of flats with 10 - 20 floors ... and often more than one flat per level.

Does that make sense?

House are detatched, semi's (in other words 2 joined together) or like mine, terraced ... with houses attached on either side.

I forgot to take one of the Bible photos - so will post them next week - and link it ... promise!
