Side Jobs Audiobook
James will be returning to the studio in August to record the narration for the audiobook SIDE JOBS (a collection of Jim Butcher’s DRESDEN FILES short stories). It is scheduled for release in the US, UK and Australia on November 11 and in Canada on November 16.

I just love the whole series, but haven't read the short stories, at all.

So, the chance to hear those missing episodes, read by James ... that's good news, to brighten up a dull day.

Having finished listening 'Changes' only about a week ago (and wow, did I love it!!!), I'm especially thrilled that one of the stories is a completely new novelette which takes place 45 minutes after the end of 'Changes', and is told from Murphy's pov. Makes it a little easier to wait for the 'Ghost Story'...

Yes, I was screaming at my car CD as I listened to the end of Changes ... That was a brilliant story - so many loose ends tied up ... so many new stories started.

Yes, I was so hoping for Harry~Murphy ... then ... OH no ... so, yes, that story from Karin's POV ... brilliant.

Those short stories are really good. I'm so looking forward to hearing James read them, although in my mind he already did as I hear his voice when I read the Dresden Files. Also another short one to tie me over till the next one.

I got into tem via James (a friend sent me the first 2) ... but the series is brilliant ... yes, I want to hear those in-fill stories.

I've been reading the books. I'm on the fourth one right now. I don't have the audio books. I would love to have them, but seldom listen to books. I read during breaks and lunch at work.

But it gives me a chance to use my new Dresden icon. Yay!

Yay - I did a Dresdon basic icon (before I started adding text) ... and still quite like it!

A friend gave me copies of # 1&2 for a birthday pressie a couple of years ago ... and since then has given me all but the ast (Changes) ... which I gave her!

As I drive for 1 1/2 hours each way to Mum and Dad's it means they are on all the time! So James travels with me!

I have also read all the books, except 1 & 2 ... as I got into the stories via the CDs and wanted to know what happened. However I haven't read the short stories.

Changes, the last one, finishes ona major cliff-hanger, and one of the short stories starts 1/2 hour later - so that is one I "need"
