Still No E-Mail

Yes, looks like I'm going to have to change everything - and hope I haven't lost tooooo much!

So - Please, if you have me on an e-mail link, could you please change it, and send me a note so I can start my new address book.

Are you on Virgin? If so go to the website and log on to webmail and then you can forward your mail to your new account. That way you can still get mail from the old one.

We had to do that.

Thanks - the trouble is that Orange won't let me go on to forward the mail.

Now I have a new address, I shall try to get onto their help site - weirdly, I couln't get a phone number, only an email address (cheaper, but if your email is down, no help!)

So, then I can try to retrieve the lost stuff.

Do you not have a free number for faults on your mobile? There should be the option to report a fault with your broadband and email which you could do via there?

No - all I was getting was problems with handsets ... blah, blah.

Now I have the new address I shall take some serious time later to find the link/address/number I need! (And as I shall actually be at Mum and Dads any phone calls will be on their bill, as no doubt they will be premium rate ones!)

Oh poo! That's no help is it. One of the advantages of virgin media is that if you have phone, TV and mobile there's usually some way of contacting them!

Mind you Virgin can be a pain - we've not had access to email via Outlook for nearly a month because they've updated something. Hence forwarding email to my gmail account.

That's weird - is Orange your internet provider? The only reason I can think of for your email going wonky with them is that you're not connecting to the internet using the account set up for your email. (Which is why I have to connect using my Orange dial up account once or twice a year).

Anyway, I've emailed you (and someone else with a random full stop in their email addy - didn't notice until after I'd sent it).

Thanks - and I got the 2nd email ... so until I read this I was confused!

I think that was why Orange have dropped me - I haven't given them any money for 6 months ... but, they could have warned me, so I could pay, or at least save stuff.
