Sorry, friends, but I was out and about  with the camera over the weekend - just in Mum and Dad's garden.

It all started because I noticed the amazing palm trees when I arrived ... don't they look stunning?

Then I walked around the back garden trying to capture some of the June flowers ...

Sorry that I don't know the rest of the names ... I should have remembered to ask Mum!

I've never seen a Palm tree in bloom before - it is lovely.

ALSO - I always associated England with cold and wet - not Palm trees!

Beautiful! I'm pretty sure the last flowers are petunias. I think the flower after the rose is a coreopsis (spelling is totally off), but I'm not 100% certain. No clue what the double petaled thing is above the petunias, but it's gorgeous!

I need to down load the pictures of my garden. Lately it's all veggies, but I have a small box of flowers. The hubby accidentally weed-whacked the marigolds in the rose bed. The red rose seems to have finished blooming for the season, but my yellow rose is going through a second bloom. The front garden is an overgrown mess. Hopefully I'll get to it this weekend.

Lovely. I went out with the camera this morning and took a bunch of summer flower pics, but have yet to download them to see if I actually caught anything interesting. My camera just doesn't do well when I focus in too closely.

The palm trees in the UK were a big surprise to me when we visited a couple of years ago. Not something I expected to see in a country that's at a more northern latitude than where I live. Has to do with ocean currents and stuff, I suppose.

The first picture looks like a rose or a peony and the last one looks like petunias. The only others that I could recognize, you'd already labeled. :)

The plaque in our room is great and I read it often. Nature is the art of God. Pity I don't like being around his art tho ;)

It's a good summer for palms - a lot of the ones around here are in bloom too.

Your flower pictures are lovely.
