Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010 06:13 pm A couple of weeks ago, I had to drive to North Devon, and went via this village, just to take this sign ... I wonder how you would pronounce it ... no, don't cheat and Google it ... just guess -
Most towns in Britain have the town they are twinned with listed ... and the 30 is because it is going into the village, hense the speed limit changes.

Date: 2010-06-22 07:03 pm (UTC)Woolfardisworthy or Woolsery (pronounced /ˈwʊlzri/ "Woolz'ry") is the name shared by two villages in Devon:
Woolfardisworthy, Mid Devon, between Tiverton and Crediton (Mid Devon)
Woolfardisworthy, Torridge, near Clovelly and Bideford (North Devon)
Even weirder to think the county has it twice!
