 A couple of weeks ago, I had to drive to North Devon, and went via this village, just to take this sign ... I wonder how you would pronounce it ... no, don't cheat and Google it ... just guess -

Most towns in Britain have the town they are twinned with listed ... and the 30 is because it is going into the village, hense the speed limit changes.

One of the drawbacks of learning to read in the US in the 70s is that we were taught to sound out unfamiliar words based on clues within the word. So I would read that as "Wool-Fard-Is-Worthy." And I'm sure they are, but not so sure that's the way it's pronounced. *grin*

ETA: HA! I just googled it. I was SO far off it isn't even funny. LOL At least I guessed the initial and ending letter sounds correctly. LOL
