The funny thing is about this song is that I have always loved it - even though, until today, I never knew what the words where - or what they meant!!!! If you want to read the history then look here
When I was a kid we had a reel-to-reel tape recorder and Mum and Dad used to record my favourite songs off the radio - over the years it got put on tape, and is now on CD. Last week I drove M&D to Tim & Claires and we had the CD on ... and this is one of the ones Mum and I sang along to Iko Iko by The Dixie Cups

Oh boy - now I'm stuck! A James song I loved when I was younger - I suppose it will have to be the first ever song I heard James sing ... and because I watched BtVS after it was finished, and bouth the DVDs out of order it is- Rest in Peace. I know I don't usually give a link, but couldn't resist for this -

I like you ^-^ I'm gonna rent buffy now because I've only seen eps here and there. You've got me curious again.

Date: 2010-06-16 09:39 am (UTC)I think the problem I have is that I retain odd trivia - that's why I can remember odd things about songs, people, places etc!
My favourite character (and my username) Spike doesn't arrive till season 2 episode 3. But htere are a lot of people out there who love Angel, who you see in season 1. The whole 7 series are about Buffys battles - season 1 she moves house, new school (at 16); season 2, first love; season 3, graduation/Prom; season 4, college; season 5 she has some major personal problems to get through .... etc. Hope that you enjoy, but if you don't, that's also OK, as it's good to have friends with varying interests, isn't it?
ETA - the Spike song is mid season 6!
