I got tagged by kudagirl, but I'm not tagging anyone else, as I think you have all already done it!!

Honestly, the book that was on my pc-desk wasThe Daily Messgae" - which is The Bible, in a modern translation, divided into 366 sections.

Page 123 = Exodus 14

The Egyptians said "Run from Israel!  God is fighting on their side and against Egypt!"

God said to Moses, "Stretch  out your hand over the sea, and the waters will come back over the Egyptians, over their chariots, over their horsemen."

Moses stretched his hand out over the sea:  As day broke and the Egyptians were running, the sea returned to it's place as before.  God dumped the Egyptians in the middle of the sea.

That is a more modern version of the Bible. You said that you read a bit in he Bible every day so it didn't surprise me that your book would be that one. Awesome that you BELIEVE ♥

Thanks - yes, I have always read The Bible ... so it is good to read modern translations, as well as traditional - it brings it home to me much more.

It honestly was my closest book, as in the summer I sit near my pc to read in a morning ... in winter I sit next to a radiator!

Can I say how not surprised I am by the book you had close at hand?

Back in the seventies, there was The Living Bible. I had a copy of it my parents gave me. I think your The Daily Messgae is very much like that. It was a paraphrase which was easier to understand.

Yes, it is similar - Mum and Dad bought me The Living Bible, and it was good to read. I bought The New Living Year Bible, but it was no longer paraphrased ... this version is.
