366 MEME - Day 306 - Last Posting

... I hope. Yes, went this morning on my way back from DJ to post the last parcels - so now, I hope, that is the final visit for a few days to the post office!

LOL - Postman has just arrived as I was posting this and have had a card from someone I was at college with, who I haven't heard from in 2 years, so decided not to post to this year - now I shall be writing a card and sticking it in the post box later!!

No matter how well you plan, there always seem to be last week or last minute things to do!

It is great - and the 2 staff are fast and efficient, so even this week, very short queues!

I went to our post office yesterday. Had the boys take a couple of toys each and laid down my expectations for behavior very firmly. Good thing - there was only 1 clerk and a line at least 12 people long, and then one woman at the counter took at least 10 minutes for whatever business she was doing. 10 minutes!

When I was almost to the front another clerk came out and the line moved at almost twice the speed. I only had to speak to the boys a couple times about not running around.

Now I have to do it all over again for one more parcel. Yikes!

Some of the post offices are terrile - the main one in our town always seem to have 4 members of staff - but only one of them serving!
