Just a quick fly-by post to post this picture - it is of a pair of houses on the road out of Plympton - they do fascinate me - tall and thin, and I love the small windows on the side!

One of my uncles used to buy us small paper kits of towns and they all had houses just like that. I never saw one in RL till I went to Torquay.

Wow - I remember those kits now ... Obviously your uncle didn't buy them all, some ended up growing into proper houses in Devon!

Hard to make they were, too! I'm not the most dextrous person ever, half of them ended up looking like building sites :D

But with them not being completed, at least you didn't have to pay rates on the property - saving you money!

I know I may be biased, but I honestly think British architecture is the most beautiful in the world. Those are lovely houses.
