Launceston - St Thomas

Like a lot of British towns, there are 2 parish Churches in Launceston.

I went to the parish of St Thomas, walked along the river, saw the outside of the Church, and the remains of a Priory that was in use during The Doomsday Book of 1086.

I also saw Charles Causley's grave.

Yes, it is open Sundays - a traditional Anglican (Church of England) - just locked during the day to save from vandals!

It is lovely to walk around a Church Yard - this seemed more mor#dern than most, considering the age of the Church itself.

Most of the area do manage to combine the beauty of the past with the needs of today.
