DJ had a lazy morning, in hazy sunshine - eating!
Then at lunchtime I went and got him in, and gave him a good grooming - a real pampering, even trimming his ears and bridle inch ... as well as combing the tail and the mane.
Then I moved him from his box to outside, not just to take the picture, but because as today he was getting the full treatment - a pedicure and made-to-measure shoes, as well .... I tried to remind him that I don't get any such luxuries, but he seems to think that he should have a regular pampering whatever I do about myself!
As ever he was a good boy, and below the cut are just 3 pictures of his new shoes going on -
Then, it was time for a feed, and back to the field to tell Conrad how tough his day had been!

Date: 2009-08-20 03:38 pm (UTC)Yes, at the stables we used hoof oil for certain days, but DJ doesn't get shown ... now, some of the Christmas shows, you see glitter polish as well! Don't know what he would think to that!
BTW - I still hate the smell of the burning hoof!
