BTW - I have always laughed and said that if Iget good weather on my birthday it means we have rain to come ... And, that's what happened the following evening!! Much to Jiffy's upset - he has been used to the back door being open so he can come and go as pleased!

We have a dog door in our door to the backyard. When the wind blows out of the north it causes the doggy flap to fly open. I tend to keep the door closed when it blows cold air in the winter. Right now the door is open, but it's so hot outside I have been closing it. This week we are in the middle of a heat wave. It's been 100 degrees this week. Dogs have been laying in the shade when they go out. They don't stay out long. It really bothers Max when I close the door. He lays on the rug in front of the door and drags the edge of it up with his paws. He knows it bugs me and I will get up and open the door.

Thay do like to be able to go in and out, don't they? Phew, 100' ... I thought it was hot here, and it's only about 80' at it's top. And both M&D and I live near the sea, which helps as well.

Poor puppy!

We have had a record rains for June in NY. :soggy:
And July will probably be muggy.

He is sulking, as it's been dry, he used to being able wander in and out when he wants!

Aw. Poor frustrated puppy. Have to have some rainy days, Jiffy. But you can't explain that to a dog.

I think the average pet expects us to have a large awning we pull out over the town, so they can carry on life as normal!
