What program do you have for doing your pics ? sometimes pics don't need much tweaking and other times they need a lot. The main problem with James pics is that the lighting is usually difficult - even though the Drill hall was good the pics varied depending on whether he stood directly in the spotlight or not, and of course the 100 club lighting was a nightmare - I still haven't done mine yet (except for about 6 that I put up)It's taking quite a bit of tinkering in CS3 to get rid of the horrible pinky red cast on them so it's going to be a slow job :(
I have a programme called Photo Filter ( don't know whether it is any good or not) - I think part of my worry is that, being colour blind, I don't know whether what I am seeing needs work, or not. I have learnt to bring out the light balance in over-exposed photos, but as to colour cast - I daren't risk it!
I haven't looked at PhotoShop at all - do you think I should?
Ahh I forgot you were colourblind - the only pics that tend to need any sort of colour correction would be the James ones as he always seems to find venues with horrible lighting....lol, the everyday stuff that we take really doesn't need anything done apart from a bit of sharpening(as digital sensors produce soft pics to start with ) and perhaps a tweak to adjust the brighness, contrast ect
CS3 is quite expensive but there is a free program called Picassa that you can download, it is a bit basic when it comes to certain tools in the program but it is fine for general stuff....or there is Photoshop Elements which is cheaper (about £65 I think) But try Picassa first before you start spending out on other programs - you might find it'll do all that you want.
