Both of my brothers and myself have only a few things in common - one of those is that we all like ironing! (My 2 brothers do all the ironing at home!) Having been away for a week, I brought home a load of washing, and have dried outside and am now busy ironing.

Date: 2009-04-14 03:40 pm (UTC)I like to laundry. It tidys up my bedroom. I am able to do other things while the machines run. Like typing in comments. Unlike doing the dishes or picking up around the house which is never ending. When you are done, it stays done a bit longer than doing the dishes or picking up around the house. A completed task you can feel good about. I guess if you have a large family, laundry might never be done, but I only have myself and my son. We do laundry once or twice a week.

Date: 2009-04-14 04:14 pm (UTC)I like doing it, just looks so positive to have the pile of ironed clothes ready to pack away. It's true though, we talk about "doing the washing" yet all we do is put on the machine, and get on with other work - When I was a kid, Mum had a twin tub, which was great, but needed constant supervision - but our Grandmothers - mmmmm glad I'm not in that era!
