366 MEME - Day 17 - Back To Orchestra.

First time back since just before the concert - so I suppose it is about 5 weeks since I last played!

Yes, I'm off to orchestra practice tonight - my breathing is easier, even though my coughing is really bad.





We have some concerts coming up - and one next year that I really need to be well enough to play for - so, practice starts tonight!

Thanks - my Bb is an unknown make (but is the one M&D bought me when I started in 1973 ... so can't be too bad!); my A is actually a Hawk & Son (before Boosey & Hawkes!!) Would love to have a mtached pair ... but "if wishes were dreams ..."

Thanks - still not 100%, but just learning to get on with life again!

I played the clarinet in high school marching band-never better than second chair, though. Glad to see you're starting to feel a bit better, this has hung around quite long enough.

Glad the first time back went well - what's the big concert you want to be able to play in next year?

Thanks Carolyn - we are doing a violin concerto which looks like hard work - However in the 2nd half we are 90% certain we are doing Peter & the Wolf ... that was the piece of music I heard when I was 10 and said that I wanted to play the clarinet ... so, if we do it, it will be full circle for me to play the clarinet part.
