What A Way To Start Me At The New Job!

I have just had a phone call from the guy I am going to start doing some work for on Fridays, to say that there were 3 patients booked in, but that 2 of them were booked in at the same time!

Ummm - Why????????

He then went on to apologise and say he had tried getting hold of one of them to move them ... but if he couldn't he was sure I would cope as I had run my own business for years!

With a "Goodbye, see you tomorrow", he rang off before I could point out that I don't know if I can cope - after all I have never, yet double booked an appointment slot!

Hmmm...He seems to thrown the problem back onto you. I would be very careful about working for him. Maybe you can offer something to the two who would be double booked to gain their good faith. Not the best way to develop a relationship with new patients.

I'm eager to know how it all went, it does seem a bit unprofessional to just drop you in it like that - hopefully things worked out ok and the clients didn't think it was you that made the mistake.

Thanks - I made sure both patients knew that I had only started there this lunchtime! So, hopefully they will know it wasn't me - Can't believe it.

Still, maybe that with be "the" one glitch!
