Natural Beauty - The Best.
Wednesday, December 10th, 2008 02:12 pmAs most of you know, by now, I read part of my Bible every morning. Today I started at the beginning again, and read of Creation.
Planets, stars, sun and moon, sea and land, animals, fish and birds ... and finally humans.
Now, whetever you believe in a literal 7 day creation (as I do) or whether yu believe in evolution, you must admit, we have some amazing and stunning natural beauty around us. If you read the story in Genesis, you will see the pharse that "God saw that it was good". You must agree, whether it is a tiny flower, or the starry sky, there are some beautiful sites to see.
I want to also share these 4 pictures that arrived by e-mail this morning. The Northern Lights ... something I have never seen, but just stunning - I hope you enjoy them
Northern Lights and Fire Rainbow over Yellow Knife , Yukon , Canada
THIS NEXT PICTURE, IS A FIRE RAINBOW - THE RAREST OF ALL NATURALLY OCCURRING ATMOSPHERIC PHENOMENA.
THE PICTURE WAS CAPTURED THIS WEEK ON THE IDAHO / WASHINGTON BORDER. THE EVENT LASTED ABOUT 1 HOUR.
CLOUDS HAVE TO BE CIRRUS, AT LEAST 20.000 FEET IN THE AIR, WITH JUST THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF ICE CRYSTALS AND THE SUN HAS TO HIT THE CLOUDS AT PRECISELY 58 DEGREES.

Date: 2008-12-10 05:05 pm (UTC)I am in complete awe and amazement of God's creation everyday, whether its the season changing, the wind, the colorful leaves in the fall, the sand on the beach, the sun or moon in the sky...all of it, it just brings joy into my heart to know that he gave it all to us to enjoy, it's such a wonderful blessing!!
These pictures are stunning! Thanks for posting them.

Date: 2008-12-10 05:10 pm (UTC)When I am here I read The Bible-in-a-year from cover to cover, just book-marking, rather than sticking to the actual days ... as when I am at Mum and dads I use a different scheme.
But getting those pics, plus reading of creation reminded me again how great God is.
