Small Pic Scam

Nothing really special to share - but just taken a couple of pictures of flowers over the weekend - one an orchid, the other a cactus.  There is also one of a sunset, and a local shopping area.







Friday evening - "Red sky at night, Shepherd's delight" - This picture was taken from Mum and Dads back garden.



And on Saturday, I went shopping with Mum and we had good weather ... although this picture is of an indoor market, that has been renovated and is in the process of being re-filled with shops .... And is where I buy my favourite sweets from!

Yes, it was an indoor market, that they gutted and put shop units into ... they are getting a great range of shops in now, and decorated for Christmas, it is great tow ander through.

The red of the sunset was lovely that evening.

Yes, that market is getting an amazing range of shops and stalls in it ... and now it's decorated for Christmas, it is fun to visit.

WOOOOOOW! That sky is AWESOME!

I remember when I was in Mousehole and I saw a sky like that over the ocean and I said to my friends, "Red Sky at night, sailors delight." They promptly corrected me and told me it was 'shepherd's delight.' *giggles*

It is weird that even though Cornwall is a dangerous place to sail, we still say shepherds!!

I love orchids, unfortunately I don't have a good place in my house that got the right sort of light and warmth to keep them, if I did i'd probably go mad and have lots of them.

What a gorgeous sunset, we've been having some lovely ones here too recently,nothing wrong with this one at all, but a good tip for sunsets is to underexpose by about 1/2 to 1 stop, it brings out the richness of the colour. :)
Oh that market looks interesting, is it in Bude ?

Don't know about the care of orchids - ours seem to survive whatever Mum does with them - LOL

Thanks for the tip - the under-exposure is something I never think to experiment with!

The market is in Torquay. A lot of the town is run down - and they are trying to re-vitilise the area ... This project is really beginning to work out now.

Oh I didn't see it in Torquay when I was there, i'll have to have a look out for it next time i'm down there, is it in the main street that most of the shops are in ??

It is near to the crossroads where the road turns pedestrianised (if that makes sense) ... Or go up Union Shopping Centre opposite BHS, and it is just before you get to Wilkinsons.

The best sweet shop for loose sweets for miles around is there ... it's where my Toffee Bon-Bons come from!!!!!
