Small Pic Scam
Monday, November 24th, 2008 06:20 pmNothing really special to share - but just taken a couple of pictures of flowers over the weekend - one an orchid, the other a cactus. There is also one of a sunset, and a local shopping area.
Friday evening - "Red sky at night, Shepherd's delight" - This picture was taken from Mum and Dads back garden.
And on Saturday, I went shopping with Mum and we had good weather ... although this picture is of an indoor market, that has been renovated and is in the process of being re-filled with shops .... And is where I buy my favourite sweets from!

Date: 2008-11-24 07:50 pm (UTC)I remember when I was in Mousehole and I saw a sky like that over the ocean and I said to my friends, "Red Sky at night, sailors delight." They promptly corrected me and told me it was 'shepherd's delight.' *giggles*
Beautiful hun, truly!

Thank you.

Date: 2008-11-25 08:24 am (UTC)What a gorgeous sunset, we've been having some lovely ones here too recently, nothing wrong with this one at all, but a good tip for sunsets is to underexpose by about 1/2 to 1 stop, it brings out the richness of the colour. :)
Oh that market looks interesting, is it in Bude ?

Date: 2008-11-25 09:26 am (UTC)Thanks for the tip - the under-exposure is something I never think to experiment with!
The market is in Torquay. A lot of the town is run down - and they are trying to re-vitilise the area ... This project is really beginning to work out now.
