I Am Obviously More Scary Than Hallowean!

Yesterday my neighbour called round.

Let me backtrack to fill in this story.   This couple have lived in the house for about 3 years - and don't even say hello if we both are going out of our door at the same time.  I have sent them a Christmas card every year - and not received one.  Still - no noise, no problems, no worries.

Last Sunday night I was awake a lot of the night listening to a puppy crying ... then Monday night ... Tuesday and most of Wednesday!

So, Thursday eveing there is my neighbour - plus squirming puppy.  She came to apologise and to give me a card from Ziggy to say he was sorry for keeping me awake.

I immediately said that it was not a problem, as they do learn - Jiffy had a couple of very bad nights ... our previous dog had odd hours for quite a few weeks!

Anyway - last night ... SILENCE

So I think that he was probably warned that if he was a bad boy then he would be sent back to see me ... It worked!

It was nice of them to at least say they were sorry about the noise. Some people just aren't friendly or considerate. My next door neighbors didn't realize we had dogs for the longest time. Our dogs are basenjis. They don't bark. They are very quiet. Great apt/flat pets.

Yes - our spaniels were pretty good - Jiffy tends to "chat" quite a lot - although he is quieter at my place which is joined to others, which is clever of him.

I've seen people who would never communicate, become mush and polite because of animals.

Maybe the dog will civilize his owners. He probably likes you.

I am glad that everything worked out in the end - even if it was after 3 years! But as we know, there is a reason for everything :) Is your neighbor and her husband Christians? Do they know that you are?

Don't know about that - I always have a Christian Christmas card - and have a fish on my car ... and in the house itsel it is clear ... Still now the ice hs broken, at least we can say Hi - and see where it leads.
