May Have Been Quick - But It Was Fun!

When I got DJ in this morning it was a lovely day - bright and cheery, with a slight breeze.  It's days like this you just want to remember, isn't it?

He was a good boy while I groomed him - standing still while I brushed and combed him, trimmed his "bridle inch" and his ears ... and was finished just in time for Toni and Smudge to arrive.  So, I tacked him up, without a plait, but with his "ears" and we just headed out for a short ride.

We saw some of Toni's other neighbours, went up the road and back, had a short canter ... and overall just enjoyed the lovely September morning.

So, once back, I fed him and then took him back to his field, so he could enjoy the rest of the day in peace!

A nice ride for a lovely day. Was DJ bothered by the 'ears' when he first wore them?

He wore them last week, and was very paniccy about any gaps between him and Smudge, who is was out with. He wanted to keep close to him.

But, there were no problems putting them on him - and even today (I have just got in) he is OK about having them placed on him.

Glad to hear you are finally getting some nice weather for your rides. And when are you coming over to groom my horse for me, though I did manage to cut Dessie's little bridle bit last week because it's muzzle time over here.... darn spring growth and little ponies just dont gel. {{hugs}}

I am lucky that DJ loves being groomed and at present he is just growing his winter coat and the weather is dry ... so he is very dusty, but that is mainly it.

DJ will come eat you spare grass any time you want!!
